Danville, CA – During a joint press conference, Jeff Takada, former Republican candidate for CD 11 endorsed Elizabeth Emken in her bid to win the Republican primary and unseat Jerry McNerney in the fall election. 

“Elizabeth and I see eye to eye on the need for true, conservative principles in government and, most importantly, active representation of the concerns of our fellow citizens in CD 11,” Takada said as the pair stood shoulder to shoulder on the steps of the Manteca City Hall. “I hope that with Elizabeth as our candidate, the Republican Party will again be recognized as the force for Constitutional government that it once was.”

Emken thanked Mr. Takada for his endorsement of her candidacy and for his lively, heartfelt campaigning over the last few months.  “Jeff Takada and I represent the kind of true, citizen-candidates voters are seeking,” Emken remarked.  “Jeff is an outstanding young man with a deep commitment to public service and, I’m certain, a bright future. I will miss Jeff’s participation in the race, but am very grateful for his support.”

Elizabeth recently announced continued, strong fundraising results--$30,000 in the last week alone--as enthusiasm for her campaign spreads throughout the district, and nationwide.
